PM inaugurates events to celebrate Prophet?’s birth

The Government of Change and Construction launched on Wednesday the activities to celebrate the Prophet's birth anniversary , may the best prayers , peace be upon him and his family, for the year 1446 AH. Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahwi delivered a speech on the occasion, in which he began by praising the participants in the celebration of the Prophet's birth anniversary from the state's civil and military leaders, noting that celebrating this occasion is not an innovation as some claim, but rather it is celebrated annually by the people of Yemen, throughout history. He said, "There are those who celebrate a lesser occasion that does not fit with the traditions and customs of Yemeni Muslim society." Considering the celebration of the Chosen One's birth , may God's prayers , peace be upon him and his family, a great honor that should be benefited from by extracting useful Muhammadan lessons and morals in the current era. He added, "The Yemenis had a long history in conveying the message of Islam to th e corners of the earth," recalling the pivotal role of the Aws and Khazraj tribes and the rest of the Yemeni tribes that were at the forefront of the confrontations to spread Islam and bring down the most powerful empires at that time. He continued, "We renew our pledge to the noble Messenger, may God bless him , his family and grant them peace, not in words but in action, that we will strive to embody his noble morals and principles that united people and brought them out of the yoke of slavery and idol worship to the worship of the One God and the tolerance of Islam." At the event, which was attended by the First Deputy Prime Minister, Allama Muhammad Miftah, the Deputy Prime Minister, Administration , Local and Rural Development Minister, Muhammad Al-Madani, and a number of ministers, Information Minister, Hashim Sharaf Al-Din, delivered a welcoming speech, in which he said at the beginning, "We gather on Wednesday to celebrate the best creation's birth anniversary , whose birth represented a sign of cha nging the earth and building face the great edifice of Islam." He continued, "We draw inspiration from the Great Messenger biography , the spirit of positive change and the determination for solid construction, to build a strong and prosperous Yemen that is worthy of its ancient history and authentic people, by promoting development, freedom and dignity." He stressed that the government of change and construction will seek reconciliation, heal the wounds of the Yemenis , promote unity and understanding, inspired by the Prophet's wisdom, may God bless him , his family and grant them peace, which guides us to transparency, honesty, justice and cooperation among all.
