PM, Govt officials inspect preparations for Prophet’s birthday celebrations

SANA'A - SABA: Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb al-Rahawi, accompanied by key government figures, visited al-Sabeen Square and the Military College on Monday to review preparations for the central celebration of the Prophet Muhammad's birthday. The Prime Minister's delegation included Deputy Prime Minister for Defense and Security Affairs Lt. Gen. Jalal al-Ruwaishan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Administration and Local and Rural Development Mohammed al-Madani, and other ministers from Education, Scientific Research, Health and Environment, Information, and Communications and Information Technology. During the visit, they inspected the progress in preparing both squares for the celebrations, with Ali al-Saqqaf, head of the preparatory committee, providing updates on the ongoing work and adherence to the schedule. The officials also visited the shrine of the martyred President Saleh Ali al-Sammad in al-Sabeen Square, where they recited Fatiha of the Book in honor of the martyred President and other nat ional martyrs. Prime Minister al-Rahawi commended the efforts of the involved agencies, including Electricity, Health, Environment, Media, and Communications. He emphasized that this year's preparations and equipment would surpass previous years and deliver a strong message to those who offend the Prophet. Dr. Ali Shaiban, Minister of Health and Environment, highlighted the ministry's efforts, including the deployment of 36 ambulances to al-Sabeen Square, 12 to the women's square, and the provision of 540 health workers and mobile hospitals. He assured that private sector hospitals are also prepared for emergencies. Minister of Information Hashem Sharaf al-Din reported that 45 squares will host central celebrations, with media crews covering the events both locally and internationally. An integrated media plan will ensure the Yemeni people's celebration is showcased appropriately. The Prime Minister and officials underscored the significance of the Prophet's birthday celebrations and the government's com mitment to high standards in this year's commemorations.
