Baghdad, Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani confirmed Iraq's openness to fruitful partnerships with French companies. A statement from his media office said that the Prime Minister received today the French Ambassador to Iraq, Patrick Durel, and discussed with him the overall bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen them and expand cooperation in various economic and development fields. Al-Sudani pointed out, according to the statement, Iraq's openness to fruitful partnerships with French companies, especially in the field of contributing to the reconstruction of infrastructure and enhancing the defense capabilities of Iraqi armed forces, and cooperation in the field of military technological modernization through the contracts concluded, the most important of which is the contract with the French company Thales. According to the statement, Al-Sudani touched on developments in the situation in the region, the continuation of the aggression against Gaza, and the importance o f activating the roles of the international organization and the international community, to prevent the genocide taking place against our Palestinian people, and to deter the aggression from committing more massacres against civilians, which portends the spread of conflict and more unrest throughout the Middle East.
