RAMALLAH: The Secretary-General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), Hussein al-Sheikh, met with a French delegation, headed by the diplomatic advisor to the French President, Emmanuel Bonne. They discussed the latest political developments on the Palestinian, regional and international arenas during the meeting, in addition to ways to reach a ceasefire and an end to the bloody Israeli war and humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip. The two officials further affirmed their rejection of the dangerous escalatory Israeli measures and policies in the West Bank. The diplomatic advisor to the French President affirmed his country's position in support of a political path leading to the establishment of an independent State of Palestine based on a two-state solution in accordance with international legitimacy.
