Petra: About 200 CEOs of Arab Air Carriers' Organization (AACO) member airlines were invited by the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority (PDTRA) to discuss ways to boost tourism in the region, especially in Petra. Representatives of partner airlines and industry partners, including manufacturers of engines and aircraft, information technology firms, and Arab and international aviation industry players, also attended the meeting, which was organized in collaboration with the Royal Jordanian (RJ). According to Jordan News Agency, Yazan Mahadin, PDTRA Commissioner of Petra Archeology Park and Tourism, emphasized that the authority and RJ's collaboration is unique and crucial for advancing the travel and tourism industry. He clarified that inviting airline officials is a part of initiatives to boost regional tourism, encourage travelers to come to Petra, and educate them about the amenities and services that guarantee guests' comfort. Mahadin stated that the visit will assist PDTRA in assessing the ne eds of the tourist area, thereby facilitating visitor access, extending their stay, and improving collaboration between airlines and local government to grow tourism and advance the travel industry. The visit followed participation in the 57th AACO General Assembly at the Dead Sea, as well as the PDTRA's efforts to boost Petra's marketing and promotion, highlighting it as a safe and suitable tourism destination for all groups.
