NABLUS: A number of Palestinians suffered on Wednesday from suffocation by toxic gas as a result of the Israeli occupation forces' suppression of farmers in the village of Salem, east of Nablus. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, local sources reported that the occupation forces attacked farmers in the eastern area of the village while they were heading to their lands. The forces prevented them from picking olives and fired toxic gas bombs, which led to a number of them suffocating, including children and women. The olive harvest season in the West Bank this year is witnessing repeated attacks by Israeli colonists and occupation forces. These attacks have escalated to include killing, burning, and cutting down olive trees, stealing the crop, and preventing farmers from accessing their lands.
