TULKARM: A Palestinian sustained an injury from Israeli army gunfire during the aggression on the Tulkarm and Nur Shams refugee camps, as reported by the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS). The incident occurred Tuesday night, resulting in the hospitalization of a 63-year-old citizen with a live bullet wound to the face. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the confrontation escalated after two young men were also injured by live gunfire in Tulkarm camp, one in the foot and the other in the hand. The Israeli occupation forces intensified their presence by deploying additional military reinforcements into the camps, maintaining their onslaught for 10 hours. WAFA correspondent noted that more military vehicles invaded the camps from the western entrance of Tulkarm city, with large numbers of soldiers dispersing through the streets and alleyways. Israeli army vehicles besieged the two camps, obstructing all entrances and positioning snipers on rooftops. The operation resulted in sign ificant destruction to houses, infrastructure, and property, including the water pipeline network, due to the occupation bulldozers. Additionally, the occupation forces ignited a commercial store owned by the family of the late Hussam Al-Malah in Tulkarm camp, leading to several cases of suffocation. Al-Malah had been slain by an Israeli special force a week prior. In Nur Shams camp, soldiers set a store aflame in the al-Mansihiyya neighborhood, but Civil Defense crews intervened to prevent the fire from spreading. During the raid in al-Manshiyya, soldiers ransacked numerous houses, converting some into military outposts and interrogating the residents. A Palestinian was detained and severely beaten in the Iktaba neighborhood, east of Tulkarm, before his vehicle was blown up. This incident is part of a broader intensification of military operations by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank, resulting in the deaths of four Palestinians on Tuesday, alongside fierce armed clashes. An Israeli drone also assa ssinated two Palestinian men near Qabatiya, identified as Muhammad and Shawqi Asasousi. The Israeli offensive in the West Bank since the onset of the Gaza genocide last year has resulted in over 760 Palestinian deaths, including 18 women and 166 children, with more than 6,500 injuries, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health. The operations have also inflicted severe damage on the infrastructure of cities such as Jenin, Tulkarm, Nablus, and Tubas.
