The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Thursday condemned the decision of the occupation authorities to restrict the work of Norwegian diplomats working in the occupied territory of the State of Palestine, including Jerusalem, considering it a dangerous precedent and a direct threat to all countries. The Ministry praised, in a statement, the bilateral relations between the State of Palestine and the Kingdom of Norway, and stressed the importance of Norway's diplomatic representation in the State of Palestine. It also voiced its rejection and condemnation of Israel's attempts to create flimsy arguments and pretexts to pressure countries and international institutions that help the Palestinian people and contribute to diplomatic and legal pressure on the occupying authority to stop its crimes and violations. The Norwegian Foreign Ministry said earlier today that the Israeli authorities had informed it that they would no longer facilitate the work of Norwegian diplomats in the occupied Palestinian territories, considering this action "extreme".
