Palestinian Civilian Casualties Rise Amid Israeli Shelling in Northern Gaza Strip

Gaza City: One Palestinian citizen was killed and others were injured Monday morning as a result of the ongoing Israeli shelling in the northern Gaza Strip.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, citing medical sources, the casualties occurred due to the Israeli artillery shelling of Hamouda Roundabout in the northern Gaza Strip.

The situation remains tense as the Qizan al-Najjar area, located south of Khan Yunis, experiences continuous artillery shelling. Furthermore, Israeli forces have been reported firing heavy machine guns northeast of the al-Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.

Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation forces have initiated an offensive on the Gaza Strip, leading to the deaths of 52,535 Palestinian citizens, a significant number of whom are children and women. The conflict has also resulted in the injury of 118,491 individuals. Amidst the violence, hundreds of victims remain trapped under the rubble and on the streets, awaiting assistance from ambulances and rescue crews.
