Gaza City: Eleven Palestinian citizens, including a child, were killed Monday in Israeli airstrikes and artillery shelling of several areas in the Gaza Strip, and an infant died of malnutrition.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Israeli fighter jets conducted an airstrike on the Ma'an area, south of Khan Yunis, resulting in the death of three individuals. Additionally, one civilian lost their life in artillery shelling northeast of al-Qarara in Khan Yunis Governorate, while a child was killed in artillery shelling of the Shuja'iyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City.
The Gaza Strip also witnessed the tragic death of four-month-old Yousef al-Najjar, who succumbed to malnutrition. Further casualties included Ahmed Abu Huwaishel, 22, who died from wounds sustained after Israeli forces shelled his family's home in Camp 1, Nuseirat.
Local sources reported that four injured individuals were transported to the Arab Baptist Hospital following artillery shelling near the Ashwaq building, located east of the Shuja'iyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City.
