Jenin: Israeli occupation forces have commenced bulldozing operations in the Ya'bad Plain located south of Jenin, local sources confirm. The operations began on Monday, focusing on an area surrounded by the illegal Israeli colonies of Harmish and Dotan.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Israeli bulldozers have initiated land-clearing activities in the plain. Amjad Atatra, head of the Ya'bad Municipality, noted that the total area of the plain is around 20,000 dunums. Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli authorities have declared the area a "closed military zone," preventing Palestinian residents from entering.
Furthermore, Israeli forces conducted raids earlier in the day in the towns of Ya'bad and Silat al-Harithiya, west of Jenin. Military vehicles were deployed in the streets, and operations were carried out within these towns.
