Israeli occupation forces opened fire on a young Palestinian teenager killing him tonight in the Jabal al-Taweel area east of the city of Al-Bireh in the occupied West Bank, according to medical sources. The Ministry of Health said in a press statement it had informed by the Palestinian Civil Affairs Authority that a teenager identified as Mohammad Riyad Saleh, 16, was shot and killed by Israeli occupation soldiers in unclear circumstances in the said area. Earlier tonight, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that an individual-who later turned out to be the same child--was shot and injured by Israeli occupation forces at the entrance to the colonial settlement of Pesagot, illegally built on Palestinian lands east of Al-Bireh. However, said PRCS, the Israeli forces prevented their emergency response teams from reaching the injured child, before he was announced dead of his wounds about an hour later.
