In clear violation of the terms for the exchange of prisoners, the Israeli occupation authorities re-arrested the child prisoner, Nofoth Hammad, 16, after she was supposed to be released on Saturday in the second batch of exchange of prisoners, according to her father Jad Hammad, from the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem. He told WAFA that the occupation forces had assaulted his daughter while she was being transported to Jerusalem to be released and was later transferred to Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem after she was injured. He said he was not allowed to visit her in the hospital and was never informed about her situation, pointing out that the occupation authorities took her out of the hospital today and returned her to prison, expressing concern for her health condition after she was taken to the hospital and assaulted. One of the colonists had objected to the release of Nofoth which is believed to be the reason for her re-arrest. Hammad is the youngest child detained in the occupati on prisons. She was arrested two years ago while leaving her school under the pretext of trying to assault one of the colonists and sentenced to 12 years in prison. Her name was included in the second batch of prisoners to be released by Israel on Saturday in return for the release of 13 Israelis held in Gaza. Source: Palestine news and Information Agency – WAFA
