Oman has condemned Israel's continued unjustified military attacks against the Palestinian people, including the massacre that targeted the UNRWA-run Al-Fakhoura School, which resulted in the killing of civilians displaced from the northern Gaza Strip. In a statement, Oman's foreign ministry offered its condolences to the families of those killed and wished a speedy recovery for the wounded. Oman praised the steadfastness of the 'brave Palestinian people in the face of injustice, aggression, and the continued Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories, in flagrant violation of international law and United Nations Security Council resolutions.' The statement also renewed Oman's call on the international community to take practical steps to impose deterrent sanctions on Israel to stop its aggression and the crimes it commits against civilians. It said these crimes, including Israel's continued imposition of an inhumane blockade on the Gaza Strip; depriving people of basic necessities including fuel, water, food, and medicine, display contempt and disregard for the human soul and human dignity. The statement slammed these actions as a blatant violation of United Nations charters and international norms, including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
