Vice President of the Kuwait Olympics Committee Sheikh Mubarak Faisal Al-Nawaf Al-Sabah said on Thursday Kuwait's athletes are well prepared for the Olympic Games Paris 2024, which will kick off tomorrow. Sheikh Mubarak Faisal made the statement to KUNA after meeting national athletes who arrived at Kuwait's mission at the Seine-Saint-Denis's Olympic village in Paris, where he also met with head of the mission Ali Al-Murri and other mission members. Sheikh Mubarak hoped further progress for Kuwaiti athletes in the competitions which include athletics, swimming, fencing, rowing and others, to raise Kuwait's status. "I wish every success to all Kuwaiti players to represent Kuwait in the best way as they did in the previous international events," he said He also expressed pride for Kuwait's female athletes' participation in this key event. Kuwait takes part in these games with nine players, including four females namely Lara Dashti, Amal al-Roumi, Suad Al-Faqaan and Amina Shah. The opening ceremony of the G ames is set to kick-start on Friday July 26 and the competitions will last until August 11. Source: Kuwait News Agency
