Amman: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) welcomed the United Nations Security Council's adoption of a resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza during the fasting month of Ramadan. The OIC saw this as a significant step toward the international community taking responsibility for the crime of the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people for a six-month period. The OIC demanded that Israel, the occupying force, be forced to carry out the decision right away and guarantee the timely and sufficient provision of humanitarian aid to every area of the Gaza Strip. Additionally, the OIC reaffirmed its demand that the Israeli occupation cease all war crimes against the Palestinian people, including settlement, killing, destruction, forced relocation, and genocide, across all of the occupied Palestinian territory.
