The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) welcomed the statements of French President Emmanuel Macron, who stressed the need to halt the export of weapons to Israel that are used in the war on the Gaza Strip and prioritize a political solution to the conflict, which is in line with international humanitarian law, the legal opinion issued by the International Court of Justice, and relevant United Nations resolutions. The OIC called on France to recognize the State of Palestine on the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, within the framework of its positions supporting the vision of the two-state solution and the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination.
