The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned Israel's attack on a UNRWA humanitarian aid convoy heading to Gaza on Monday. In a press release, the OIC stated that Israel continues to commit war crimes, genocide, and destruction against the Palestinian people, as well as workers in the health, humanitarian, and media sectors, and the United Nations, including the facilities and employees of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA). The organization also condemned the Israeli occupation's continued deprivation of the Palestinian civilian population of food, water, medical care, and other basic services. It reiterated its call on the international community to assume its responsibilities towards ending the Israeli military aggression and ensuring adequate and sustainable access to humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip. UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini said on X that a UNRWA vehicle was shot with five bullets on Sunday while waiting at an Israeli m ilitary checkpoint in Gaza.
