Official Palestinian media condemns occupation’s arrest of its media crew in Jericho

RAMALLAH: The official Palestinian media condemned today the Israeli occupation forces' arrest of its media crew in Jericho while carrying out their journalistic work on Monday morning. In a statement, the official media called on all international bodies, human rights organizations, and the International Federation of Journalists to work towards the release of its crew and guarantee the freedom of its media work. It stressed that these attacks and arrests will not succeed in terrorizing the official Palestinian media, and will not prevent it from carrying out its duty and conveying its message of exposing the crimes of the occupation against the Palestinian people. The official Palestinian media added that this attack is a continuation of the policy of the occupying state in targeting the official media, many of its members were killed during the ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip. The official Palestinian media noted that its offices in Jerusalem were closed, and the Gaza offices were bombed, in addit ion to the daily Israeli harassment against its crews and the destruction of their equipment. This morning, the occupation forces arrested the Palestine TV crew in Jericho, namely Omar Abu Awad, Mohammed Jawad Zaghb, and Samer Asaad Barahma, while they were on duty .
