Occupation Forces Detain Palestinian Youth in Hebron, Impose Curfew on Neighborhoods

Hebron: Israeli occupation forces (IOF) detained a Palestinian citizen from the Tel Rumeida neighborhood in central Hebron on Tuesday and imposed a curfew on several neighborhoods east of the city. Citizen Imad Abu Shamsiyeh reported that the IOF arrested his 24-year-old son, Muhammad, while he was in front of their home in the Tel Rumeida neighborhood.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the IOF are currently surrounding the house and preventing the family from leaving, citing the celebration of the Jewish Sukkot holiday by the “Ramat Yishai” colonists, who reside on lands and properties in Tel Rumeida. Furthermore, local sources indicate that the occupation forces have imposed a curfew on the Jaber, Salaymeh, Ghaith, and Wadi al-Hussein neighborhoods. These neighborhoods are adjacent to the Kiryat Arba settlement, which is built on Palestinian land east of Hebron, with the curfew also justified by the holiday celebrations.
