Hebron: Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Thursday demolished two homes in the al-Tayaran neighborhood, south of Hebron, while colonists continued to expand a new settlement outpost east of Yatta, south of Hebron. WAFA correspondent reported that IOF stormed the al-Tayaran neighborhood in the town of al-Dhahiriya, south of Hebron, and bulldozed two 100-square-meter homes belonging to the Abu Sharkh family, which housed 12 people.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, local resident Akram Abu Sharkh described the hardships faced by residents due to daily colonists' attacks. These include the destruction of water and electricity networks, hindering students from attending school, and conducting provocative patrols around homes, especially at night, using drones and loud horns to instill fear among residents.
Abu Sharkh further explained that both occupation forces and colonists are imposing a siege on the residents, restricting their movement, preventing them from grazing sheep, and barring relatives from visiting. This, he says, is an attempt to exert pressure and force residents to abandon their lands.
Meanwhile, colonists are continuing construction and expansion work on a new colonial outpost established on citizens' lands in the Huwwara area, east of Yatta. Activist Osama Makhamreh informed WAFA that a group of colonists is engaged in daily expansion activities on the outpost they established in the middle of last month. Initially consisting of three tents on citizens' lands, the outpost has rapidly expanded.
