Occupation Army Demolishes Structures Near Hebron

Hebron: Israeli occupation forces demolished a house, walls, and a water well in the village of Irfa'iya, east of Yatta, on Wednesday.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, media activist Osama Makhamreh reported that the occupation forces, accompanied by demolition vehicles, demolished a 250-square-meter house owned by Jihad Shehadeh Al-Amour, which housed five people. They also demolished the walls surrounding the house and a water well.

Mohammed Al-Adra, director of the Khallet Al-Mai community municipality, stated that the demolition was executed after delivering a notice to the owner the previous day, without allowing time to file an objection with the occupation court or legal and human rights authorities.

He noted that the occupation has increased its repressive measures, including the demolition of numerous homes and the destruction of property in all communities and villages in and east of Yatta. This is part of an ongoing effort to pressure citizens and depopulate these areas to annex more land for the benefit of the colonizers.

In April, the occupation authorities conducted 73 demolitions targeting 152 facilities, including 96 inhabited homes, 10 uninhabited ones, and 34 agricultural and other facilities. The demolitions were primarily concentrated in the governorates of Tubas with 59 facilities, Hebron with 39, and Jerusalem with 17.
