Dakar, Hours after he was sworn in for a five-year presidential term, the new Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye appointed Ousmane Sonko as prime minister. The new 49-year-old prime minister said following this appointment that he understands the heavy responsibility and trust that President Faye has placed in him.
