New Mexican President Welcomes Strengthening Relations with Iraq to Achieve Common Interests

The new President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, welcomed the strengthening of relations between her country and Iraq, in a way that achieves common interests. A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Chargé d'Affaires at the Iraqi Embassy in Mexico, Maryam Haitham Mahfouz, met with the President of the New Republic of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, during her participation in the inauguration ceremony held at the National Palace in the capital, Mexico City. According to the statement, Mahfouz offered her warm congratulations to President Sheinbaum on the occasion of assuming her duties as the first female President of the United Mexican States, wishing her success and good luck in leading the new Mexican government.
