Amman: The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) and the Jordan Armed Forces - Arab Army (JAF) Monday sent a new humanitarian aid convoy to northern Gaza in cooperation with the World Food Programme, and with contributions by institutions, organizations and associations. The 40-truck convoy carried food parcels, medical supplies and dialysis solutions, which will be distributed in Gaza through partner associations and organizations in the Strip, according to a JHCO statement. "We are working to ensure the humanitarian aid is delivered to our people in Gaza and that it covers the necessary and basic needs in the Strip," said JHCO Secretary-General Hussein Shibli, adding that the primary goal is a sustained dispatch and access of aid convoys to the enclave. "We seek to reach the largest possible number of people in various areas in northern Gaza," he said, adding that a total of 2,514 trucks have entered Gaza so far, in addition to 53 air aircraft via Al-Arish in Egypt.
