Three people were martyred and three others were injured in raids carried out by the Israeli occupation army on Sunday on a number of areas in the southern suburbs of Beirut. A security source told Petra's correspondent in Beirut that the raids targeted the areas of Kafrjouz, Marjayoun, Dibbin, Khiam, Blida, the outskirts of Bazouriya, Burj al-Shamali and Iqlim al-Tuffah, while the towns of Mays al-Jabal, Kunin and Blida were under heavy artillery shelling. The Ministry of Health said in a statement that "there is no evidence so far of the use of uranium in the Israeli attacks against Lebanon, as reported by one of the unions. The ministry stressed that the Lebanese Atomic Energy Commission (LAEC) was contacted in this regard, and its director, Bilal Nsouli confirmed that there is no evidence of the use of uranium in the Israeli attacks against Lebanon until now and that a scientific statement will be issued in this regard later.
