A civilian plane carrying 19 people slid off the runway and crashed on Wednesday while trying to take off from Tribhuvan International Airport in the Nepalese capital, Kathmandu, according to state television. The plane, operated by local airline Saurya, was heading to the popular resort of Pokhara when the accident occurred.
