Najaf Governor Youssef Kanawi attributed the cause of the fire in the industrial area / Aden neighborhood southeast of the governorate, to poor storage and failure to take public safety measures in those warehouses, noting that the losses of those warehouses exceed billions of dinars and that there were no human losses. Kanawi indicated the intention to fine the owners of companies that violate occupational safety procedures, stressing the participation of Civil Defense teams from Najaf Governorate and neighboring supporting governorates and the Imam Ali Combat Brigade and the Holy Shrine of Ali and the municipal effort in extinguishing the fire.
