Kuwait's Ministry of Interior announced on Monday the deportation of several individuals and their sponsors who overstayed their visit visas, failing to comply with the terms agreed upon at entry. In a press statement, the ministry highlighted that this action follows directives from Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior. The ministry emphasized its commitment to enforcing the law and holding violators accountable. The General Department of Residence Inquiry Affairs carried out thorough follow-ups, leading to the arrest of multiple violators. Among those detained was a group of wives residing in the country who had requested visas for their husbands and children, who then entered the country on family visit visas but exceeded the legal period of stay. Legal measures are being taken against these individuals in preparation for their deportation.
