Doha: The Ministry of Labour has affirmed that its participation, as a main entity, in organizing the Advanced Technology for Construction and Services Expo (ConteQ Expo 2024), comes within the framework of its comprehensive strategy for digital transformation, and its commitment to keeping pace with technological developments and harnessing them to serve the labour sector, in addition to facilitating and accelerating procedures and services provided to citizens, residents and the private sector. Hoda Abdulrahman Al Mughaiseeb, Director of the Public Relations and Communication Department at the Ministry of Labour, pointed in a press statement to the achievements made by the Ministry through launching a number of innovative initiatives and digital platforms to develop and improve the work environment, reduce unskilled labour, and support the sustainable development process, in accordance with the pillars of the Third National Development Strategy, which aims to bring about a radical transformation towards a more productive and competitive labour market, and build a leading business environment for companies and institutions in the private sector. In this context, she noted the role of the Ministry of Labour in qualifying and training the national workforce to keep pace with the rapid changes in the labour market, and attracting highly skilled expatriate workers capable of dealing with technological developments and digital transformation strategies. She stressed the importance of unifying efforts between ministries, institutions and national entities in the country, and expanding the base of partnerships and cooperation, in order to enhance the construction, building and services system in the country, and support it with the best technological innovations, to keep pace with the plans for digital transformation in government services, and to be in line with the comprehensive development process witnessed by the country, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030, which aims to achieve economic diversification and digital economy, and increase strategic capabilities in artificial intelligence, and sustainable development. She also pointed out the pivotal role that the exhibition will play in supporting the construction and services sector in the country, as it is a global platform for digitizing the services and construction sector, and for major international companies, leaders of the construction, building and manufacturing sectors, and all parties related to the construction, services and industry sectors, and modern transportation systems, in order to display the latest technological innovations and techniques used in future construction projects, smart cities, and infrastructure.
