The Ministry of Justice organized on Monday a workshop on institutional structure and its role in directing and improving performance and ensuring the sustainability and effectiveness of government institutions, in the presence of HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi. The workshop reviewed the importance of institutional structure to keep pace with the change within an integrated system aimed at achieving the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030 and the judicial sector plans included in the Third National Development Strategy 2024-2030. At the opening of the workshop, Director of the Planning, Quality and Innovation Department at the Ministry of Justice Hadeel Abdul Latif Al Jaber stressed the importance of the institutional structure as a necessary strategic tool to guide and improve the performance of institutions, as it is a comprehensive system seeking to integrate all components of the institution from operations, information systems, infrastructu re and human resources. Through this system, institutions can attain many gains such as improving operational efficiency, achieving digital transformation and enhancing the ability to make and take decisions, she added, noting that this system contributes to the development of government services and adapting to technical, regulatory and legislative changes. Al Jaber pointed out that the Ministry of Justice has begun a new phase in the field of institutional structure owing to its importance and necessity, with the issuance of the decision of HE the Minister of Justice No. 104 of 2024 to establish departments in the administrative units of the Ministry of Justice and to decide their competencies. The decision stipulated in Clause 3 of Article Two to include the institutional structure office among the sections under the Planning, Quality and Innovation Department. In turn, Director of Applications and Business Solutions at Malomatia Rashid Sultan Al Kaabi pointed to the importance of the institutional struc ture for the business environment, reviewing the development measures taken by the Ministry of Justice in this regard and the benefits of the institutional structure achieved through its application, most notably achieving the comprehensive vision of the performance system, improving effective change management, and controlling technical investments in institutions. The workshop addressed the journey of the institutional structure in the Ministry of Justice, in which the institutional structure office is being established and operated, and work is being done to update the business layers in accordance with the new decisions, launch the institutional structure repository system, build a strategic dashboard based on institutional structure information, and build institutional capacity maps, which will enhance the work environment and quality of performance in the Ministry of Justice.
