Doha: The Ministry of Culture has recently issued a new book titled "Political Systems" by Dr. Mohammed bin Nouaimi, writer, academic researcher and advisor in the office of HE the Minister of Culture. In 330 medium size pages, the book presents an academic analytical approach to political systems, across nine chapters. The first chapter reviews four topics; primarily a definition of political systems from a conceptual perspective, concepts related to political systems, the importance of political systems through their components and characteristics, and the relationship between political systems and other sciences. The other chapters focus on the origin and development of political systems; research methods in political systems from a scientific perspective; concepts of the state and forms of governments; constitution and official institutions; informal powers in political systems; election systems; the principles of hereditary systems; and the republican system of government. The author, Dr. Mohammed bi n Nouaimi holds a PhD in political science and worked as a faculty member at Qatar University. He also worked as a broadcaster on Qatar TV. Bin Nouaimi held several positions, and published several books, the most notable of which is 'Qatari Foreign Policy'. Source: Qatar News Agency
