The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Naeem Al-Aboudi, confirmed today that the international recognition granted to Iraq in the field of medical education marks a new stage of sobriety and academic excellence. Al-Aboudi said in a speech during the opening of the second scientific conference of Al-Bayan University, 'The success embodied in reaching international recognition and accreditation granted to Iraq reassures public opinion that medical education programs are characterized by a level of efficiency based on international education standards, in addition to what this accreditation granted. Global Medical Education Union Program represents a qualitative leap in the level of cooperation in the field of scientific research, exchange of experiences between our universities and their international counterparts, and stimulating medical colleges to develop their educational and research programs, putting the Iraqi certificate on the safe path in terms of international recognition, and mark ing a new stage of sobriety and academic excellence.' Al-Aboudi added, 'The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research works according to regular steps and integrates with sectoral institutions to achieve development goals and meet their requirements that extend until 2030, taking into account changes, adapting to circumstances and overcoming them in order to ensure sustainable education, sustainable health, performing responsibilities towards society, strengthening strategic goals and launching towards global partnerships. The statement continued, "The conference included a number of speeches by the President of Al-Bayan University and the Parliamentary Education Committee, as well as scientific sessions in the axes of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, medical health technologies, and nursing, and honoring distinguished researchers in the dentistry, pharmacy, health and medical technologies, and nursing."
