Minister of Finance Abdul-Jabbar Ahmed Mohamed discussed on Tuesday during his meeting with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kamaran Company for Industry and Investment Mohamed the State, the company's conditions and plans for the next stage. The meeting, which was attended by the undersecretaries of the Ministry of Finance for the economic units sector, Dr. Akram Al-Washli, Revenue Ali Al-Shamahi, and the head of the Tax Authority, Wahid Al-Kibsi, touched on the problems resulting from smuggled cigarettes. He also touched on the importance of strengthening efforts to combat smuggled cigarettes through coordination and integration between the competent authorities. The meeting stressed that the danger of smuggled cigarettes goes beyond the economic aspect and represents a real threat to the lives of users of those cigarettes, most of which do not conform to any of the quality standards. The meeting stressed the need for concerted efforts to enable the company to play its role in supporting the na tional economy. Source: Yemen News Agency
