Minister of Culture discusses with Head of the Central Bureau of Statistics ways to provide classified statistics on the reality of culture in Palestine

Ramallah - Ma'an - Minister of Culture Imad Hamdan met on Wednesday with the head of the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, Ola Awad, to discuss enhancing cooperation between the ministry and national institutions in Palestine, providing classified data and statistics that reflect the reality of culture, arts and community participation, and developing effective strategies that enhance the development of the cultural sector and stimulate creativity in various fields. Minister Hamdan stressed the importance of integrated work between the Ministry of Culture and the Central Bureau of Statistics, pointing out the need to benefit from classified data in forming cultural policies that meet the needs of Palestinian society, stressing that culture in Gaza reflects the spirit of determination and creativity, and must be supported and enhanced. In turn, Awad stressed the need to focus on the importance of collecting data and statistics on the reality of culture in Gaza, noting that this information will contr ibute to providing an accurate picture of the cultural situation in Gaza and the cultural experiences therein, by providing correct statistics and benefiting from them.
