Bethlehem - Ma'an - The Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Mr. Hani Al-Hayek, received the Brazilian Ambassador to the State of Palestine, Ambassador Alessandro Warley Candias. Minister Al-Hayek stressed the importance of the joint bilateral relations between Palestine and Brazil, especially in the field of tourism. Speaking about the importance of working to increase the number of tourist groups coming to visit Palestine from Brazil Al-Hayek briefed the Brazilian ambassador on the crisis that the Palestinian tourism sector is experiencing due to the aggression on the Gaza Strip, stressing the ministry's work to produce a number of programs and plans that will ensure the return of tourism activity to Palestine immediately after the end of the aggression. In turn, Ambassador Alessandro Warley Candias stressed the importance of joint work between Brazil and Palestine in the tourism field for the benefit of both countries. The two parties discussed ways to achieve direct networking between the private Pale stinian tourism sector and its Brazilian counterpart, and ways to achieve joint cooperation in the field of antiquities preservation, in addition to exchanging information in the field of global tourism promotion and teaching the Portuguese language to tourist guides.
