Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Shereeda Abdullah Al-Moushejri declared on Thursday that there are currently up to 15,000 job vacancies for male and female citizens, noting that they are allocated to those registered in the Central Employment System. Al-Mousherji, also the Chair of the Civil Service Commission, said in a press release after a meeting of the board today that the allocation of the jobs has been made in line with directions of His Highness the Amir, incorporated in the Resolution issued on 18/2/2024. The decision's second provision stipulates that all state apparatuses must submit their employment needs to the Civil Service Commission for approval according to the regulations. The minister has revealed that there is plan linking job descriptions to educational specialization, on the basis of objective criteria, the principle of equal opportunities among the job seekers, in addition to the certificates, the degrees and age. He has indicated that the scheme will be executed every six months "to absorb graduates willing to work in the public sector." Minister Al-Mousherji also revealed that some amendments to the rules and terms governing the travel for accompanying patients were approved during the meeting. He has indicated that according to the modifications, the patient's companion can travel for a year with a fully paid salary.
