A senior military official from the Jordan Armed Forces stated that the unmanned aerial vehicle, carrying a payload of illegal substances, sought to breach the border. Acting in coordination with military security units and the Anti-Narcotics Department, the forces engaged in accordance with established rules of engagement, bringing the drone down within Jordanian territory.
