The Jordan Armed Forces' Southern Military Zone successfully intercepted a drone attempting to smuggle narcotics across the western border of the Kingdom on Wednesday. A senior military official from the Jordan Armed Forces stated that the unmanned aerial vehicle, carrying a payload of illegal substances, sought to breach the border. Acting in coordination with military security units and the Anti-Narcotics Department, the forces engaged in accordance with established rules of engagement, bringing the drone down within Jordanian territory. The seized contraband has been transferred to the appropriate authorities for further investigation.
