The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expects thunderstorms of varying intensity, active and strong winds on the eastern , southern coasts, extremely hot weather in the desert and coastal areas during the next 24 hours. The center said in its weather bulletin, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), that thunderstorms of varying intensity are expected, with hailstones falling occasionally, in parts of Taiz, Ibb, Al-Dhale', Dhamar, Raymah, Hajjah, Al-Mahwit, Sa'ada and Amran provinces. Scattered rains are also expected in parts of Sana'a, Al-Dhalea, Al-Bayda, Shabwa, Hadramaut, Al-Mahra provinces, Lahj , Abyan highlands, and areas of the Tihama Plain. The center warned citizens against being in the depths of valleys , flood paths, against thunderstorms, sea turbulence , high waves around Socotra Archipelago , the eastern and southern coasts. It also warned against hot and extremely hot climates in deserts, inland plateaus, plains , coastal areas, advised against dire ct exposure to sunlight and to drink plenty of fluids.
