The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expects that scattered and variable rains accompanied by thunder will continue in a number of province during the next 24 hours. The center stated in its weather bulletin, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), that it is likely that rains of varying intensity will fall, which may be accompanied by thunder, hail and descending winds in scattered areas of Sa'ada, Amran, Hajjah, Al Mahwit, Sana'a, Dhamar, Raymah, Ibb, Al Dhale', Taiz, Lahj and Tihama Plain. Thunderstorms of varying intensity fell outside the scope of monitoring stations in areas of the western highlands, the interior plateaus and the Tihama plain. The center warned citizens in areas where rain is expected to fall from staying in valleys or cutting off flood paths. It called for taking the necessary precautions against thunderstorms and hail, as well as against reduced horizontal visibility, rock collapses and mudslides. Source: Yemen News Agency
