The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expects heavy and scattered thunderstorms in a number of province during the next 24 hours. The center stated in its weather bulletin, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), that it expects heavy thunderstorms accompanied by downward winds and hail to fall on Ibb, Raymah, Sa'ada, Hajjah, Al-Mahwit, and parts of Dhamar, Taiz Provinces and Tihama Plain. Varying intensity rains are expected to fall on parts of Amran, Sana'a, Al-Dhale' and Lahj provinces, and scattered rains, sometimes accompanied by thunder, on parts of western Al-Jawf and Marib, Al-Bayda, the highlands of Abyan, Shabwa, Hadhramaut and Al-Mahra provinces and parts of the southern and western coasts. The center called on citizens in areas where rain is expected to fall, to take precautions and be careful not to be in valleys , torrents during , after rainfall and from thunderstorms, strong descending winds and falling hail. It warned vehicle drivers of the decrease in horizontal visibility due to rainfall and the formation of low clouds or water mist on mountain roads , from rock collapses, and advised against crossing ground bridges during the flow of torrents. The center called on the relevant official authorities to take the necessary measures and procedures to protect lives , property , to follow up on the bulletins and reports issued by it.
