A meeting held today,Wednesday, at the branch of the Supreme Council for the Administration and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation in Raymah province, headed by the governor's deputy, Muhammad Murad, discussed the activities and programs of UNICEF for the current year. The meeting, which included the Director of the Council Branch, Hilal Al-Haddad, and representatives of UNICEF, headed by the the Deputy Resident Representative of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), Luciano Calestini, and the directors of the water, health, agriculture and education offices, discussed UNICEF's activities and projects in strengthening government efforts aimed at improving services in various sectors, including the humanitarian situation and meeting. The necessary needs to alleviate the suffering of citizens as a result of the continued aggression and siege. In turn, Al-Haddad reviewed the province's needs for humanitarian, essential needs, and sustainable relief projects, to achieve effective benefit from the projects supported by the organization in the province. While the Deputy Resident Representative affirmed his understanding of the humanitarian situation in the province, praising the local authority and the Humanitarian Affairs Council's continued support for the organization's projects and interventions, by overcoming any difficulties facing their implementation. He pointed out that UNICEF's activities during the current year include implementing projects in the fields of health, education, water and sanitation, which contribute to alleviating the suffering of citizens in light of the current conditions.
