Gaza City: Medical and emergency teams today recovered the bodies of nine slain Palestinians, including five children and a woman, after Israeli bombing targeted a house east of Gaza City. The bodies were found in the al-Tuffah neighborhood, buried under the rubble of a house belonging to the al-Mashharawi family. They were subsequently transported to the Baptist Hospital in the city.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the recovery operation took place after Israeli forces ended the ceasefire agreement and resumed airstrikes on the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, March 18. This escalation has resulted in a series of deadly attacks across the region, claiming the lives of hundreds of Palestinians, including over 100 children.
Since October 2023, Israel has conducted a continuous military campaign on the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of over 49,617 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injuring more than 112,950 others. The ongoing conflict has exacerbated the humanitarian crisis in the region, drawing widespread international concern and condemnation.
