Israeli Forces Intensify Military Operations in Jenin, Displacing Thousands

Jenin: The Israeli occupation forces have continued their aggressive military campaign on the city of Jenin and its camp for the 61st consecutive day. This relentless onslaught has involved the bulldozing and burning of homes, with some structures being converted into military posts.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the situation escalated further this morning as the occupation forces detained three Palestinian citizens from the town of Ya'bad, located south of Jenin. This occurred following raids on homes in the town. Since the onset of the aggression, raids in the Jenin Governorate have intensified, with widespread detention campaigns, field investigations, and home searches becoming commonplace.

Demolition notices were issued by the occupation forces last Wednesday for approximately 66 homes across several neighborhoods, including Al-Hawashin, Al-Aloub, Azzam Mosque, Jourat Al-Dhahab, and Harat Al-Samran. Military reinforcements, accompanied by bulldozers, continue to arrive at Jenin camp, contributing to the destruction of streets and the paving of new roads.

Live ammunition continues to be fired around Jenin camp while infantry units move within its alleys and neighborhoods. Over the past 61 days, 227 citizens from the Jenin Governorate have been detained, with numerous field investigations conducted on residents.

The Jenin Municipality reports that the occupation forces have bulldozed all the streets in Jenin camp and nearly 80% of the city's streets, resulting in the displacement of residents from 3,200 homes. The ongoing aggression has led to 34 fatalities, with many others injured or detained.
