Beirut: The Israeli occupation army launched artillery shells targeting several towns in southern Lebanon on Saturday. The towns affected by the shelling include Khiyam, Houla, Markaba, and Kfar Kila.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Lebanese National News Agency reported that three artillery shells were fired at the town of Khiyam, with additional shells targeting Houla, Markaba, and Kfar Kila. In the Nabatieh district, the northwestern neighborhood of Yahmor al-Shaqif experienced intermittent shelling, impacting the outskirts of Arnoun and Kfar Tibnit as well.
The agency further indicated that the Israeli occupation army is conducting a large-scale combing operation with machine guns from their position on Hamames hill. This operation is taking place amidst ongoing airstrikes over the eastern sector of the region.
