Maysan police detachments arrested 12 defendants following a tribal dispute that broke out in one of the areas south of the governorate, and evolved into the use of weapons. The Maysan Police Command said in a statement: 'After receiving information about the outbreak of a tribal conflict in one of the governorate's areas, a security force accompanied by the Maysan Police Chief went to the scene, imposed a security cordon, and conducted a series of raids and searches in search of those involved in the conflict.' It added: "12 defendants from both sides of the conflict were arrested and weapons and equipment were seized, noting that the necessary legal measures have been taken against the instigators of the conflicts.
