The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, received today, Wednesday, the Commander-in-Chief of the International Coalition Forces in Iraq and Syria, General Joel Fowell, and his accompanying delegation. The Kurdistan Regional Government stated in a statement that: 'In the meeting, the overall developments in Iraq, the Kurdistan Region and Syria were discussed, and the two sides also stressed the continued support of reforms in the joints of the Ministry of Peshmerga and the unification of its forces under the umbrella of the Ministry.' The statement added: 'The meeting discussed the importance of maintaining security and stability in Iraq and the Kurdistan region and enhancing coordination and cooperation between the Iraqi army and the Peshmerga forces with the international coalition forces to confront the threats posed by ISIS terrorists, and terrorism in general.'
