Palestinian officials said on Wednesday that Israeli shelling targeted central and northern Gaza, killing at least 18 people, including 5 children and 2 women. The two attacks hit tents for displaced people in the Nuseirat and Burj refugee camps in central Gaza. The bodies of 9 people, including 3 children, were transferred to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the nearby town of Deir al-Balah. In northern Gaza, an Israeli raid hit a family home in the Jabalia refugee camp, killing at least 9 people, according to the Civil Defense Authority, a rescue agency operating under the supervision of the Hamas government. The dead were transferred to Al-Ahli Hospital, which said that two women and two children were among the dead.
