Doha: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index rose marginally by 0.04 % at the beginning of Monday's trading, adding 3.88 points to reach 10,139 points, compared to the closing of Sundays session, with support from five sectors. The stock exchange figures showed positive performance for the industrial sector by 0.14 %, the consumer goods and services sector by 0.11 %, the insurance sector by 0.10 %, the real estate sector by 0.05 % and the banking and financial services sector by 0.02 %. On the other hand, the performance was negative for the transportation sector by 0.14 % and the communications sector by 0.33 %. At 10:00 am, Qatar Stock Exchange recorded 1,555 transactions worth QR 43.468 million, distributed over 21.234 million shares. Source: Qatar News Agency
