Amman: Following Friday prayer, a large-scale demonstration was held in front of the Al-Husseini Mosque in the heart of Amman, calling for an end to the brutal and ongoing Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip and in support of the Palestinian people's legendary resilience in the face of the Israeli machine of death and destruction. The participants, who represented a range of societal segments in Jordan, denounced the unfair treatment of the Palestinian issue by the international community and demanded an immediate end to the aggression directed towards Gaza as well as the attacks carried out by settlers and the occupation army against the Palestinian people. In addition, they demanded that all accords with Israel be canceled because it is waging the worst possible war on both people and territory. They emphasized their support for the wise Hashemite leadership in assisting the Palestinian people, advancing their righteous cause, and regaining their legal rights, and they acknowledged the tremendous e fforts made and directed by His Majesty King Abdullah II to defend the Palestinian cause on a number of levels.
